New Music Video: Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop (Must Watch)

Still from Miley Cyrus 'We Can't Stop' video
Well back again it's been a long while and I was not going to return just yet, but when you see something that just needs to be posted you have to make that return.

So Miley Cyrus came out with the song 'We Can't Stop' weeks back, a song intended for Rihanna produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, well there is a video for it now. The song itself is not bad, being sung by a Miley Cyrus who is known for her pop music this song is different to what most people know Cyrus for. It's just the video that really caught my eye. I didn't know whether to think Miley Cyrus had done a great video to get people talking showing that her and her friends really don't stop or is the Hannah Montana that we all knew and most loved just gone insane.
The video can be watched below and when you see Miley twerking (again) wrestling and pulling strange faces you will just have to make your own mind what is actually going on with this video. Anyway its a pretty decent song and she is trying to develop a new sound so lets see what happens in the future cause the Miley Cyrus of old has clearly gone.

Top 5 New TV Shows To Watch 2013

2012 saw shows like Arrow, Revolution and House of Lies begin their 1st season and do so successfully. Entering into 2013 not many shows have been anticipated to be huge successes. However lets take a look at the top new TV series to begin in 2013, because there are a few shows which could grab your attention and seem like they could be great shows in the future.
Being an early adopter I will give most new shows that look decent a try, as to whether they can keep me entertained is another story. So here's the top 5 new tv shows that I think people need to be watching in 2013.

5. Vikings

Now if you like your history series just like myself or tales from history. Vikings is certainly a show which you need to start watching in 2013. The series begun airing on the 3rd March 2013 on the History Channel.
Vikings portrays the tales of one the best known Norse heroes Viking Ragnar Lodbrok. The series aims to follow Ragnar, his family and friends and the epic sagas about the raiding, trading and exploring Norsemen of early medieval Scandinavia. The show displays the Viking era beginnings, as the history of the Viking age is forged with Britain and France being the first to witness the force that was the Vikings.
If shows like Rome, The Tudors, The Borgias and to some degree Games of Thrones are your preference then this show is one to watch.

4. The Americans

The Americans is a new series set during the Cold War period in the 1980s, The Americans is the story of Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys), two Soviet KGB officers posing as American citizens and as a married couple.
The series premiered on January 30, 2013, on the FX network. The series has an excellent premise which is backed by great character performances. An action drama/spy thriller this show will keep you on the edge of your seat for the most part of the episode. The show will definitely be a success in 2013 and it will be intriguing to see what happens as the show goes on.

3. Golden Boy

Golden Boy is a new series which premiered on CBS on February 26 2013.
It is a crime drama which follows the story of Walter Clark and his meteoric rise. From an ambitious cop to becoming the youngest police commissioner in New York City history from the age of 26 to 34.
The show is a very good watch with with the use of flash forwards to set the show in two different perspectives and the use of intelligent twist plots. This is a series that keeps you wanting to see the next episode, wanting to see just how exactly this young cop evolves into the police commissioner and wanting to know just how this adventure unravels.

2. The Following

The following was almost my number 1. This television thriller series stars Kevin Bacon as Ryan Hardy a former FBI agent and James Purefoy as Dr. Joe Carroll a serial killer, which premiered on Fox on the 21st January, 2013.
The series follows a former FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of a network of serial killers, when a diabolical serial killer uses his charisma and the Internet to create the network of serial killers.
The shows premise is one which sets it apart from other television thrillers such as Dexter and American Horror Story. The series focuses more on the two main characters with one the hero (Kevin Bacon) and one clearly the villain (James Purefoy). Adding the element of the cult gathering of serial killers all willing to do whatever is asked of them, this series portrays a new type of cult and variety of different serial killers. Which make this show fantastic to watch, with the constant displays of horror and suspense.

1. Banshee

Now banshee has to be my number one show to watch in 2013. After watching the whole season I have only one bad thing to say about this show. There was only ten episodes in season one and it's the kind of show that you just want more. Take away the fact that it was a short season it was still the best new show I have watched in 2013. The show begun in January on Cinemax and that same month after piloting was renewed for a second season in 2014.
Now to give you the plot with out giving too much away. Banshee follows the story of a master thief and ex-con released from jail after 15 years for stealing diamonds from Ukrainian gangster called "Rabbit". After his release he has one thing on his mind and that's to find the woman he loves (also his heist accomplice). This leads him to the fictional small town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, a town with a Amish presence but also a small town with big secrets. After finding out 'Anastasia' the love of his life has moved on during the 15 years he spent behind bars and witnessing the new local sheriff murdered, he takes the identity of Lucas Hood the murdered new town sheriff. Banshee follows Hood and his struggle to adapt as the new sheriff, trying to avoid a relationship with the local crime boss Kai Procter and trying to remain hidden from the gangster from his past, Rabbit. The show is excellent, much like a modern day Spartacus, with the constant use of graphic violence and sex (Well it is from the creators of True Blood). Hood shows that although his methods unconventional being a ex con are still effective as life in Banshee unravels and the struggle to keep all the secrets grow and the show becomes more and more enticing.

Well these have to be my list of new shows to start watching in 2013 but if anything I am probably more excited about the return of Arrested Development after seven years, finally a season four is on the cards and we have none other than Netflix's to thank for this. The next season of Games of Thrones after the success of the prior seasons this has to be the most eagerly anticipated series coming in 2013 this April (actually today!). Lets not forget the BBC drama Sherlock as well which finished very dramatically. If you saw season two's ending, lets just say we all wasn't expecting a third season which returns later this year, so that will be very interesting to see how the next season shapes up.
Overall 2013 for television doesn't look that bad and if you do feel is getting worse just put some Sons Of Anarchy on and get ready for the new season in September.

50 Cent - We Up Feat. Kendrick Lamar [Alternative Version]

50 Cent is finally coming back with great songs. Teaming up with Kendrick Lamar and replacing Kidd Kidd's verse from the original 'We Up' to add an extra 50 verse. He gives us a new alternative version of 'We Up' to make an already good song, better. I guess that's what happens when you add more 50 to a track just like the old, and you just can't take Kendrick off a track these days, I'm still yet to hear any Kendrick Lamar that I don't like.

So Listen and Enjoy!

Jhené Aiko - Aritist To Look Out For In 2013

Now I have not heard much from Jhené Aiko but from the songs I have been able to hear she looks to be a female R&B singer to look forward to in 2013.
She is currently signed to No I.D.'s record label Artium distributed through Def Jam Recordings.
In 2011 Jhene released her mixtape called 'Sailing Souls'. The mixtape displayed not only her talents for singing but her talents for song writing with the majority of the songs bar the exception of a few, written by herself. The mixtape showcased her beautiful soulful voice accompanied with features from Drake, Kanye West, Miguel, Gucci Mane and Kendrick Lamar. Definitely worth listening to, you will be able to make you own mind up and discover how promising she really is. The mixtape is available off her official website, JheneAiko.com so check it out!

Jhene Aiko - My Mine (Off 'Sailing Souls Mixtape)
Being signed with No I.D. will allow her to collaborate with the rest of Cocaine 80s, and we can expect they will also be featured on her upcoming Def Jam debut album, 'Souled Out'. Jhene looks to be definitely someone to look out for in the future, with her soulful singing style and her ability to write songs, 2013 is the year to look out for her. Especially with her new album on the horizon and the team up with the Cocaine 80s we may see in her own words, 'the female voice of the group'.
I will leave you guys with the most recent track I have heard from Jhene Aiko 'Everything Must Go'. So listen and enjoy she is sure to be a success and lets see what you guys think.

Video: Timeflies - Skyfall & Stay

So back again from the long time away from the blog, I had to return some day and that's today.

So first things first after hearing a unique take on Adele's Skyfall by Timeflies this video had to be posted.

Every time I hear a Timeflies song I am always left impressed, so much so I actually look forward till the next one.
Bringing the likes of dance, hip hop and the electro genres together Rob (The Producer) and Cal (The Vocalist) work so well together. Creating a rare and unique style to their music. I have always found Timeflies great to listen to and this is going back a few years. Ever since I heard their first album The Scotch Tape and heard their song 'Fade' I had it on repeat for a months, which most of my friends would tell you if they ever came in my car. I have been a fan.

This group never disappoint and thanks to Timeflies Tuesdays they have managed to keep their growing fan base happy with the release of NEW GOOD MUSIC regularly.
All I can say is that if you like good music and can appreciate a new take on combining genres like hip hop, dance, electro and dubstep then it's time to start listening to something new and Timeflies fall into all these categories.

And if you need more convincing I have added the newest Timeflies Tuesday release below. Their own spin on Rihanna's Stay which is again excellent.

So start listening and enjoying!
